Patrick J. Desmond
Patrick Desmond, auctioneer, believes that fundraising should be fun. He is an experienced event professional, former sports-talk radio show host and
standup comedian who brings energy and fun to
every occasion. He is a graduate of the Missouri Auction School and is a Certified Benefit Auction Specialist.
Transplanted over thirty years ago from the sports crazed city of Philadelphia,
Patrick has enjoyed an extensive career in event planning and management. He
has served in this capacity at the Cow Palace, San Mateo County Expo Center,
San Francisco City Hall and the 1996 Olympic Games in Atlanta, Georgia.
He also founded and hosted the weekly sports-talk radio program “Pat Desmond
and the Sports Feed” on KMYC 1410 AM. He is sorry if you have ever called in
and were subjected to his constant complaining about the sports landscape in
his hometown.
Patrick also launched and hosted two weekly comedy shows in downtown Roseville and has performed stand-up at the Comedy Spot and Laughs Unlimited in
Sacramento.
Patrick produced the Telly Award winning television documentary “Afterglow”
and also produces the annual Jefferson State FLIXX FEST and the Valley Wide Antique & Collectibles Auction in Scott Valley, California.
Patrick lives in Roseville, California with his wife, Rebecca and teenage daughter,
Ellie.
